COVID-19 VACCINATION UPDATE – DEC 31, 2020

MENNO HOSPITAL

Today, a team of 8 immunizers arrived from Fraser Health and were able to vaccinate 141 residents in Menno Hospital with the first dose of Pfizer-BioNTecH. This morning on our call with the Fraser Health team, Dr. Ken Dueck, Medical Director for Menno Place expressed his great joy that this is happening here at Menno Place. There were 6 residents who were not vaccinated. There are 4 empty beds at this  time.

Many of you have asked on the Menno Place Families and Friends Facebook Group if this will change visits. This is certainly a necessary step in the right direction for getting back to the normal way that you were welcomed to visit your loved one. We are excited to anticipate that we are on our way to this happening.

MENNO HOME

Saturday, January 2, 2020, we will have the Fraser Health team vaccinate residents at Menno Home. There will not be any vaccinating done on E2 Home as it is on outbreak.
