Relaxing Mask and Goggle wearing for staff and residents during the heatwave

Relaxing the Mask and Goggle wearing for Staff and Residents during Heatwave:

The Public Health guidelines for mask-wearing and goggle wearing have been relaxed for seniors and care homes. This relaxation of mask and goggle protocols is in order to keep residents safe from the heat and to enable staff to do their work effectively during this heatwave.
Residents in the Apartments: We have announced to residents that it is more important that they stay safe from the heatwave than that they wear their mask. This is a temporary measure of relaxed protocols during the heatwave. We will announce the end of this measure when it is appropriate. Residents will follow Public Health protocols in public spaces within the greater community.
Staff: At this time, there is no requirement to wear a mask or goggles unless in direct contact with a resident.
Visitors: There is no change to the visitor requirements to wear a mask during visits. Fraser Health still requires visitors to wear masks while visiting their loved one.

When will this relaxing of the mask and goggle protocols end?
After the heatwave. There will be further announcements through this Facebook group and on www.MennoPlaceLife.com
