HOME W2: OUTBREAK DECLARED – 16/02/22

NEW COVID POSITIVE CASES = 3 residents, 1 staff  

TOTAL COVID POSITIVE CASES = 20 (16 residents | 4 staff)

W2 was officially declared an outbreak today by the Medical Health Officer.
Protocols:
  • Twice daily symptom screening for staff and residents
  • All residents isolated and on droplet precaution
  • Communal dining discontinued
  • Group activities discontinued
  • Staff to wear masks and goggles until further notice
  • Only essential visitors allowed.

HOME E2: Enhanced Monitoring until futher notice (no change 16/02/22)

NEW COVID POSITIVE CASES = 0 residents

TOTAL COVID POSITIVE CASES = 2 (2 residents | 0 staff)

  • Twice daily symptom screening for staff and residents
  • Staff to wear masks and goggles
  • Social visits/essential visits can continue


HOME E1: Monitoring until further notice (no change 16/02/22)

NEW COVID POSITIVE CASES = 0 

TOTAL COVID POSITIVE CASES = 2 (0 residents | 2 staff)

  • Communal dining continues

HOSPITAL E2: Monitoring (Scenario 2) No change 16/02/22

NEW COVID POSITIVE CASES = 1 

TOTAL COVID POSITIVE CASES = 1 (1 resident | 0 staff)

One of our residents in East 2 hospital has tested positive. The resident’s visitor tested positive for Covid on Feb 9th , who visited the resident during infectious period.

 

East 2 is on Scenario 2 Protocols:

• Twice daily symptom screening for staff and residents.
• All symptomatic residents will be placed on isolation and swabbed
• Communal dining on the affected unit is stopped.
• Group activities on the affected unit are stopped.
• Social visits and essential visits on the affected can continue
• Continued admissions/transfers to the affected unit without approval from MHO
• Staff to wear goggles and masks in the care areas
• Staff to be cohorted to East 2
