HOW TO HAVE A SAFE OUTDOOR VISIT – THE APARTMENTS
How to have a safe outdoor visit
-
Follow Public Health Restrictions – Visitors and residents are required to follow the orders of the Public Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry when having an outdoor gathering. At the time of this writing, the provincial restrictions require British Columbians to have no more than 10 people gathering outdoors. Stick to the same people – don’t gather with several groups of new people. Continue to use COVID-19 layers of protection and maintain physical distancing.
-
No Entrance to Buildings– the only visitors who can enter the Menno Place apartment buildings are Registered Visitors (Independent Living) and Social Visitors/Essential Visitors (Assisted Living). If you need to use the washroom while on an outside visit, there are 2 porta-potties available for use. One is at the Living Waters Gazebo (between Terrace East and Primrose Gardens) and the other is at the courtyard gate (near Pavilion).
-
Avoid crowding and other visitors. Find a place where your gathering can take place without getting too close to another set of visitors. Keep six feet away from people who aren’t in your bubble/household.

Have fun! Enjoy your time together. You may want to take a stroll together around the gardens. The flowers are truly magnificent at this time of year! We have a 9-hole putting green and a bocce/lawn bowling green that are also a lot of fun. There are benches located at both of these activities for spectators to enjoy. A great way to keep the young and the young-at-heart happy! Bring your own equipment.
We are so thankful for the donations from residents and their families that made our beautiful grounds possible! We are grateful for these generous gifts.
