MEMO: It’s time to file your income taxes

Information for clients residing in a Long-Term Care Home or Assisted Living funded by Fraser Health Authority

This is a reminder to file your most recent income taxes by April 30th each year.

It is very important to file ON TIME because your monthly long-term or AL rate is calculated annually using information from your Notice of Assessment.

Per the Ministry of Health Home and Community Care policy, clients must file an income tax return to be eligible for a subsidized client rate. Clients who do not file their income tax return will be subject to the maximum long-term care rate, effective January 1st.

There are agencies and organizations in place that can help you complete your tax return. If you need assistance, please to talk to the Director of Care / Manager or your Access Care & Transitions Coordinator.
