Grandparent’s Day is almost here! We can’t wait to throw a party for you and your loved ones at Menno Place to celebrate! Please bring your loved one into the Menno Place courtyard so they can enjoy the live entertainment, food, and other fun.
This is a special day to bring kids and grandkids! No one will be bored as the entire courtyard is transformed into a playland. This is an opportunity for all the kids to come and enjoy time with grandpa, grandma or a special friend. Residents are excited to invite the ones they love to join in the fun!
There are shuttles every 10 minutes from Peace Lutheran Church for parking, so don’t be worried about getting to and from Menno Place. When you arrive, please bring your loved one from their unit or apartment into the courtyard to join in on the fun!
International Grandparents Day was first recognized in Canada in 1995. It is a family day intended to honour grandparents, give grandparents an opportunity to show love for their children’s children, and help children become aware of the strength, information and guidance older people can offer.
