One of our favourite ways to kick off the summer is with the annual Classic Car Show in honour of Canada Day in the Menno Home courtyard.  Our friends from the Hot Rods and the Pharaohs (two local car clubs) brought their beautiful vehicles and our residents (and staff) brought their enthusiasm. All around the event you could hear the excitement as residents recognized cars from their own history.

Aylssa Nielsen performed a tribute to Patsy Cline that had us singing and dancing along. One resident came prepared with her harmonica and joined in as an accompanist. Our dining services team fired up the barbeques and stocked the freezers with ice cream bars.

It was a beautiful day to celebrate this beautiful country!

Our next event is the Apartments Family BBQ on July 23. Lunch service will run 10:30 – 1:30 in all three apartment dining rooms. Hope to see you there!
