Cecil Frances Alexander wrote the hymn, “All Things Bright and Beautiful” as a song for children to explain the phrases and truths of the Christian faith expressed in the Apostles’ Creed. This series of hymns was published in 1848 in “Hymns for Little Children.” It became one of the most successful hymn-publishing projects in history, going through over one hundred editions.

Produced and conducted by Calvin Dyck, Symphony in the Park is a free 2-hour live symphony orchestra concert in Mill Lake Park on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 6:30pm. Menno Place has been graciously given space for 15 people to sit close to the stage on a first come, first served basis. Click for more info.
Helen H. Lemmel, the author and composer of the beloved hymn, “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus,” lived to the age of 97. Her long life was spent looking up, seeing Jesus, and reflecting His radiance to others. Find out more about the incredible woman who wrote over 500 hymns and children’s songs.

Menno Place Chapel has moved from once a month on Sunday to every Tuesday. We’re excited to introduce this change as a result of our listening sessions with family and friends. Please join us with your loved ones!
Menno Place Campus is one of the largest senior’s care campuses in British Columbia. There are 700 seniors living on 11 acres across from the Abbotsford Regional Hospital. Menno Place is governed by the Mennonite Benevolent Society which founded faith-based seniors care on this location in 1953.
