Resources: Upcoming Caregiver Workshop & Coffee Drop-In

Family and friends of Menno Place residents are invited to join the Abbotsford Hospice & Grief Support Society at two upcoming events designed to support caregivers.

Abbotsford Hospice & Grief Support Society’s “Care for the Caregiver” program is a new initiative focused on anticipatory grief and emotional care for caregivers supporting loved ones with life-limiting illnesses. Their purpose is to support caregivers – especially seniors – in the community through anticipatory grief care, emotional support, and community connection.

July 9: Tear Soup – Caring for Caregivers Through Nourishment.

AHGSS is pleased to welcome Suzanne Quiring, RD, who will share practical insights on the importance of nourishing our bodies while caring for a loved one. This workshop will explore how nutrition can support caregivers’ health and well-being during challenging times.

We would love for you to join us for an evening of meaningful conversation, Tear Soup, and learning together about caring for ourselves while we care for others. This workshop is open to caregivers in our community, and we’d love to welcome anyone who could benefit from an evening of support, learning, and connection.
